Agrobank eyes $66M in deposits
Agrobank hopes to raise US$66 million in deposits through a six-month campaign beginning May.
Managing director Datuk Ahmad Said said it was a continuity of the "Save...Get A Car!" campaign launched last year.
The new campaign would offer attractive prizes including gold, savings certificates, cash and a luxury car worth US$82.5 million.
Last year's campaign attracted deposits totalling US$165 million from over 280,000 customers, he said.
Ahmad also said that Agrobank would introduce new products to meet the needs of customers. Among them would be trade financing and several other Islamic banking products, he added.
Asked whether the bank would spread its wings abroad, he replied: "We may expand overseas in the future to widen our customer base since the Malaysian market is small."
