Visa, dtcpay launch card enabling digital currency conversion

Visa and digital payments solution provider dtcpay have inked a partnership agreement to integrate dtcpay’s services in Visa’s global payments network.

To start, they are launching the dtcpay Visa Infinite card, which will enable users to convert their digital currencies such as stablecoins into fiat currencies at competitive real-time rates, according to a joint press release.

Users can use the fiat currencies to fund their dtcpay Visa Infinite card.

The card will be available for public registration in Q4 2024.

Subsequent phases of the partnership will include the development of additional global payments solutions targeting ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals, businesses, and consumers.

The partnership also aims to broaden the use case of digital currencies in everyday payment settings, expanding payment options for customers globally, Visa and dtcpay said.

With this, dtcpay will be integrated in Visa’s global payment network of over 130 million merchants across 200 countries and territories.
