HSBC Malaysia to exclusively distribute Brazil equity fund

The fund was intended for investors seeking long-term capital growth on their investment to tap potentials of one of fastest growing economies.

HSBC Bank Malaysia has been appointed the exclusive distributor of the first Brazil equity fund in Malaysia, AmAdvantage Brazil.

In a statement Thursday, HSBC said Brazil has one of the fastest-growing economies in the world, was an important market for the bank and a key part of its emerging markets strategy.

Its general manager of personal financial services, Lim Eng Seong, said the fund was suitable for investors seeking long-term capital growth on their investment, according to a report in Bernama.

"The fund provides an avenue to participate in the upside potential of the Brazilian market and is a medium- to high-risk investment vehicle," he said.
