Rabobank appoints Anand Batepati Multi Asset Structuring Head
The lender capitalizes on Batepati’s extensive experience in equities, FX, rates, derivatives and commodities for its structured finance business.
Rabobank International (“Rabobank”) announced on Wednesday that Mr. Anand Batepati has been appointed as Head of Multi Asset Structuring, Asia within the Global Financial Markets (GFM) division. The appointment takes place as of October, 2010.
Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Batepati will be working closely with the sales, trading and support teams in Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia and the rest of South East Asia. His main responsibilities include developing financial products and client solutions across asset classes, and commercializing them with the bank’s core franchise. He reports to Mr. Howard Tong, Head of Client Structured Products, Asia Pacific.
Commenting on Mr. Batepati’s appointment, Mr. Tong said, “We are delighted to have Anand joining the Asian team. Anand has extensive experience across equities, FX, rates, derivatives and commodities. Leveraging his expertise and experience in structuring and selling financial products and derivatives solutions, it will help further enhance Rabobank’s presence in the structured finance sector.”
Mr. Batepati has over 11 years of banking experience, over 6 years in derivatives structuring and 5 years in corporate finance, according to a Rabobank report.
Before joining Rabobank, he was Director, Equities Structuring at HSBC, responsible for setting up the product development function. Prior to that, Mr. Batepati worked for Bear Stearns in London, where he was Vice President, Equities & Hybrids Structuring. He gained his Corporate Finance experience with JP Morgan in New York as Assistant Vice President; and Consultant at World Bank in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Batepati holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School; and MBA – Finance from Asian Institute of Management.
