DBS names Calvin Ong as head of consumer banking in Singapore

Ong will take over from Jeremy Soo beginning 1 January 2025.

DBS has named Calvin Ong as its new head of consumer banking for Singapore, effective 1 January 2025.

Ong succeeds Jeremy Soo, who is retiring from executive duties by end-2024. Soo will stay on as an advisor for DBS.

Ong, 42, is currently head of investment products & advisory in the bank’s consumer banking and wealth management group. He has been a member of the CBG/WM team since 2021, and first joined DBS as a management associate in 2007.

He has worked in several business lines of the bank, including private equity, group planning, treasury & markets, and corporate treasury.

Ong graduated from Oxford and Harvard universities.
